LESSON #3

Introduction
In what order were the planets discovered? What are the color and shape of each planet? Today we will learn some history of our planets by reading about when each one was discovered and about their physical characteristics.


Task

Students will work in pairs to search online for two articles that talk about when each planet was discovered. Students will create a timeline with this information using www.sutorii.com. Also, students will create a multimedia interactive poster with the name of each planet and a picture using www.canva.com.


Process

  1. Teacher will assign pairs to work together

  2. Students will search for two articles online about the discovery of the planets

  3. Students will take notes about the years they were discovered.

  4. Students will create time-line and plug in this information

  5. Also, they will create a poster with an image of each planet that will show the color and shape.

  6. Students will upload one time-line and one interactive poste to the project file.

  7. Each student will present a project to the class.

Conclusion

Congratulations you did it! Now you know the time when each planet was discovered. Also, you can identify each planet because you know how it looks. Our planets are not the only things that we can find in our solar system is important to keep ourselves informed of other things we might discover in our solar system.
