LESSON #1

Introduction

What are the names of the planets? How far are the planets from the sun? Today we will learn about planets and their position from the sun.

 

Task

Students will read this https://eartheclipse.com/space/planets-of-solar-system.html and will take notes to identify and find the position of each planet from the sun. Students will create a word cloud with the names of each planet. Students will create google slides providing each planet’s name, distance from the sun, and an image of each planet.

 

Process

  1. Teacher will assign the website https://eartheclipse.com/space/planets-of-solar-system.html to google classroom.

  2. When students get to the classroom, they will log in to google classroom open the link and start reading the article. Students will take notes with each planet’s name, distance, and image.

  3. Students will use the planet’s name to create a word cloud using www.wordclods.com and the planet’s names, distance from the sun, and a picture of each one to create a google slide using www.canva.com.

  4. Once they have both documents created, they will upload both to the project file and have them ready to present to the class on the assigned date.

Conclusion
